The Lupus Education Alliance Program (LEAP) is conducting a research study to learn about the experiences of people living with lupus and their views on COVID.

What is LEAP?

The Lupus Education Alliance Program (LEAP) is a research study on the health of people living with systemic lupus erythematosus, or lupus for short, and their views on COVID. By participating in the LEAP, you will receive information about COVID testing, treatment, and vaccination for people living with lupus.

Why is this research important?

People living with lupus are vulnerable to the virus that causes COVID and face greater risk of severe illness due to being immunocompromised. Through this study, we will learn about how people with lupus protect their health.

What is involved?

Participating in this study will involve answering questions about your background and health, and experiences with COVID. After you answer these questions, you will take part in the LEAP, an educational program that provides information about COVID testing, treatment, and vaccination for people living with lupus. In total this will take approximately 75 minutes.

You will also be asked to complete two follow-up online surveys after you complete the LEAP, each 30 minutes long.

Participation in this study is completely ONLINE over the internet and will occur through video calls and online surveys. You will participate in this study from home on your own computer, laptop, tablet, or smart phone.

You will receive a $50 gift card for completing the first online visit and $25 gift cards for completing each of the follow-up online surveys. In total, you may receive up to $100 in gift cards for your time.

To participate in this study:
- you must be 18 years or older
